Storm Flags
At one time there was none but you and I,
both learned to live but seldom laughed
for each one lived within their separate shell.
At times like huge and isolated storms
that move across a vast expanse of sea,
strong forces caused then both to join in space
and touch each other’s life and live as one.
Those times infrequent then are all but gone,
yet I still hunger for remembered love
then I was tossed alone against the world.
