Only  way a major to stay in  biz  is  adding  oz. If I had  a  million across  a  fence? I’d  buy   half  their side the  fence. Oct  08  crash  was  $1k to $800 to rise  to $1900. Last check  was  Ask .03,  close  was  Bid  .0245. Where’s  a  crash? He  expects to beat  the 4  weeks  DD and  has  back ups ,  met  one last  week in NV. One thing  for  sure operating  costs WILL  crash with POG squeezed out  of  work on high cost  projects. Seem a  good  time  to start  on  a  low  coster. Blood in  the  streets?  If  certain no Ebola?  Hip boots and wade  in.

I never  mind  trying  to answer  a  general shareholder  query but  when it’s , “Oh Gosh, I’m scared for me and  my money?  Get  in  line  BEHIND me. There  first with lots more at  risk and  few  to assure  self. Address  HELP  pure self to HMS GW lout  and buds  who know  all but seems can  all tell any  others zippo. 8

“Don…well…re a mexus deal with fresnillo or anyone else, how do you think this latest downdraft in POG might affect prospects for a deal? true that POG could reverse on a dime, but…current technicals suggest lower prices ahead. at what point do you think partner pulls back — or suggests need to adjust terms? i know there are a TON of other variables besides current POG, but if i’m a prospective partner, at some point i might say to myself better to wait to see what market has in store….no?

that said, if Frez is indeed the frontrunner, they have added incentive to do a deal because of location/consolidation synergies, etc. if geological dd suggests their all in cost will be under $600-ish, there’d still be good margin for them even at $1000 pog.

also true, though, that as POG declines and increasing junior miners get desperate, more and more interesting potential deals will present themselves….perhaps better/richer than mexus.

you who have been through such price cycles before….any cogent thoughts re the above? or are you biting nails as well?….”

Mark Twain redux

Spoke  with PT Jr today  home  completing final  financials in  North Pacific Gold. Most  were grabbed quickly  with some  real enthusiasm in  the unusual project by  experienced  gold  mining  professionals.  As  Homer AK  “drive by  reporter” said is  a “RIch Man’s” undertaking.

” First off clam buckets are for rich people whom just want to play and spend money, second where is mexus getting the money?? This operation looks to need at least another $600k befor operation begins”.

It’s  NOT Mexus, hey jerko, a  private enterprise signed  on  to share  11%  of  cable  not  gold!  And  yes,  seen to be about   $1  million involved total. Seems  SOME folks  can see value  in   dredging   Bearing  Sea’s untaken/untouched  deeper  claims .

Big  ship is  fitting  in  Homer  still and not  much planned   for  this  summer  season at  Nome other  than check it  all out..  Says  some  equipment  now  used there  can hit  40′  deep with  hoe dredge   but is  about  it.  With freeze up will move  down around  Kodiac Isle and prospect  there  open seas for  gold  and  cable.  Wants  to  secure  deeper  claims  in  Nome for  next  thaw  working  April to Nov. Believe me, NOBODY disputes the  fact  that easy  river bank fortunes  are  past  with  1890’s Gold  Rush days  but none have  really  touched   sea  bottoms.   40′ suction  hoses  aint the  way and multi billion start  up projects  inland are  still  just  big  plans  for  Nova with all to be  flown in. Ocean touches  all someplace!

“When news arrived in the summer of 1899 that gold had been discovered in Nome in west Alaska, many prospectors left the Klondike for the new goldfields, marking the end of the rush. ”

I’ve  a  college Music  Frat  brother San Jose  St , Preston  Boomer 3rd,  who’s  granddad P Boomer  struck it  rich in  the  Klondike  late  1890’s. Had  a  large mansion  on The  Alameda just  after Santa Clara name  change.   Big  fenced grounds  with a  pool we  could use.

Boomer’s rich kid hobby  was  self – assembled  pipe  organ  wonder  in  a  covered  shed  by  the pool. Theater  organs  were once  give  away stuff.  Here’s  a  funny one.  To be  a member  of  Phi Mu Alpha you auditioned  after  pledging  before  the  official ceremony as  Professional Musician Fraternity;    good many  pros  belong or  are made honorary after  college days. My roommate best  friend  in 1957 was  a  genius  trumpet  player  Dave  Cox.  Finally  retired  as  head of  ceramics  school at  Weber  St.  Times back then  was  pre med. pre legal and  tried   ministry  at  Kansas  U  then UC Berkeley.  Dad  Ezel was  Methodist  Bishop in San Jose had  heart  attack became   AV Supervisior  Alum Rock Schools  where mom was  Music Supervisor.  Dave  quit  all and  took up art settled  on  making  nice pots. I drink coffee in  his  each AM. Dave  and  Boomer auditioned  same time  on Purcell’s Trumpet  Voluntary organ accompany.  Were  using  the big organ for individual  student classes by  the  instructor in  a  small room off  the  music  hall.  Only he  was  inside to listen.  All ready, Boomer  reached  down and  hit  a  tape  recorder  switch and  they  both faked it and  passed.  Boomer  was  an ok organist   and  Dave  was  a  local  orchestra pro along  with me but  was  a  stunt  for  all time!  Once  Stanford  U orchestra  needed  a  3rd  E Flat  Cornet  so Dave  lent me  a  horn and  I sat  on  stage to play about  4  total notes  in  entire  symphony.  Conductor  was  Sandor Salgo  also directed  San Jose Symphony both Dave  I  were  members.  I’m sitting  there  waiting  big  moment  and  he finally  looked  over in surprise to cue  a  French Hornist  patiently  awaitng  his  rest  counts  for  a  few  E Flat  cornet notes.  Hoot! 8

Die Wacht am Mosel

Means  “Guard  the  Mosel”.  Old  Roman transport  way from Gaul flows to the Rhein and  up stream  south to Alps  or down river to North Sea and  the  world .   “Wacht am Rhein” was Code name  for  Bulge  Battle  by Hitler and old Franco Prussian hatred  anthem from 1890’s. Was  a  ’43  Betty Davis  TCM soapy tear  jerker  movie tonight  BTW.

At  7:16 PM Monday, Oct 27th I picked  my  wife  up off the  kitchen area  floor.  ‘She’d screamed, “OH NO”!!! dropped  the  phone and collapsed     I’d  seen the  Call  ID  “Phillips, Dana” on  TV screen with  Fox  News just  Bill ORiley started. Was  ready  to begin to serve stir  fry  day of  a week’s  leftovers.  She  refuses  to do  half  a  steak or half  a  pack of  chicken beasts so I save  leftovers,  make  a  6  cup rice  maker day before set  to chill in  fridge for  fried  rice,   this  time   ham and  chicken with egg  swirl wok  fried first. All veggies  on hand  from crisper  left over steak slices, other  1/2  chicken breasts  sliced in  ginger, garlic,  lobster  sauce.  I became  very proficient stir  fryer  during my  EdD course  work at  Lubbock, Texas Tech U 1976-78. Keeping  two residences  at  home,  Clyde  east  of  Abilene  I-20 and  M-F at  Lubbock 3 hours  distant NW took a  bit of  scrimpmng on retired   half  pay plus  GI Bill. Cheap chuck beef, veggies in ginger oil.egg fried rice was 1/2 hour prep  after  day’s classes, study in Library  stacks was once the way it had  to be done. Readers  Guide  to Periodical Literature  a  must  know how and  fill out  interlibrary  book loan and wait a  week. About now seems could  do all research in  about a  week online and publish on line  as  well!  Print  out  the  EdD degree and frame  it.

When Dorly  screamed and  swooned my  first  though was  Tom had  hit the  dual turbo  2012 MB  CLS 550 to see  150 MPH  on the  way home  from a  client  and  went  off   in  a  ditch. Thing  was a  wild screamer  she  nor I wished  to bother  with so let  son take it over at  a  great  discount 9  months  in. Has lane  and passing  car   alerts, seat shakers  and  tells  you  all you  really  do not need  to know   to drive well. She  just went  back to her ’11 STS and me the  ’07  STS and  Eclipse  convert.

I pulled her up and she  just  said ” Helmut died”.  He’s  her oldest  friend and  has loved  her  about  30 years longer  than me , had married her  best friend Hilde  and   MIchael,  son is  her God Child . Both , first Helmut  Moog then Mike came  to live in  San Antonio to be near  her. Hilde  just  could never leave Germany.  We  interred  her ashes her   3 years  ago. Cycle’s near finished, Dorly has  two  lady  cousins her  age left in   Germany Oh there’s   2  nieces father’s  side, one  a  Countess .  Her dad  was  the high society’s  butcher ( Fleischer, upscale cuts  and  beef))  a block down Paulinstrasse from  Porta  Negra ( Black Gate )  Roman wall  east   city entrance . Helmut?  Best Goddamn pork butcher ( Metzger) in history  but on lower class  area  N side of  the  river  saved from Patton  artillery assault  by  the  high ridge rise   N above  the Mosel tanks had  a  hard  time passing and  bombing  was tough. Still was  way  he  went  east  to Rhine and  houses to live in  remained.  Helmut  was 5, Dorly  still just  4 , Jan ’45 as he wasted  it all for hard  resistance  and  rushed on   to piss in  the  Rhine.

We  learned  Helmut’d  called  9-1-1 last  Wed  with difficulty breathing.  EMS gave  oxygen  and  eased  up.    Doctor  now  feels was a heart attack  and   next  attack with that damage he  was    unable to  survive. Died  at nearby  Santa  Rosa Hosp.   Westover Hills.   We  were all unaware .  Much as  he  loved  being   a  Texan he never  was  much  an english speaker  and  had he been in  Trier under  that  socialized  care  system he may have  lived  some longer.  Spent  most of time  with german speaking  fellows in  Bandera  area. I’d  answer the door bell and he’d have  some junk mail offer  to translate I’d   just toss  but real reason  was  to  sit  and  talk with Dorly.  Then he’d  go out  to latest  junker   got in some  swap and  drive  away until next visit.  Have over  few times a  year holiday family  stuff.  Sweet,  generous with what he   had but totally  screwed  up all his life.   Remind me  a lot of me without  a  bit of  life success.

He  once invited me  to his  Speisbratten Club meeting  down town Trier. I was  sort of  guest of honor, USAF Captain  hero flyer etc. but  the  group was  ALL the  high ranking  gents of  the  city  who’d   meet to eat and  drink  beer  once a month and Helmut   did  the   meal.  Long loin roast  stuffed  with spices and  herbs and  spit  roasted.  Usually  pork but  if  a  GI’d   get  a beef roast  at  Commissary  he’d  fix  that  up for  a party.  He’d rent out a medieval torture  looking machine  shot  flames  out the side  from wood  fire and  turned   the  long roast  to brown well  hours time  and  slice in  pieces.  Germany  has  2  cuisines , river stuff  with  beer and   upland  with wine.  Speisbratten is  pure beer.

My  Community Relations  advisor  as  52nd  Wing  Public  Information  Officer  was  Curt Felten.  He  once  explained it  all  as Angles,  Saxons,  and  Jutes  with Romans  bringing  grapes  where they  went.  Tribes  went  and  settled  Britain and  during  Dark Ages   Catholic   Monks  maintained   the wine culture  behind  their  walls built  strong  and  up high.  Renaissance    enabled  it  to spread  again  along  the  high valleys  above the  rivers.   Obvious  today is  grapes on  the  hills and  grain and  hops on  the plains.   8

Core assay Update. Tue 28th 2PM EDT

Probably  will wait  on DD by  the major. Reasons  I state.  Agreement  is  to possibly agree and would  be  totally  BEST arrangement  possible for  both.  1st cores  do show VISIBLE   gold  all levels but  we know  that. Might  not be  full month . If I count  right   as many as  5  are  of interest but  nothing  else moves past take  a  number and a  seat long as agreed 3 more weeks.  For  certain is  a  quiet  period.

Hank’s  depth  is  30′  and  handles  the  auctioned  shore  line  claims. Paulie’s near unlimited     hoist   can use  claims not  yet  seen in Bering  Sea  Gold. Here’s  a  fishing study of  EBS, Eastern Bering Sea  off  shore beyond  shallow  shelf.  Ranges  from  just  121 feet  to 413 feet  deep.  5  tracks  up to 145 miles long. LOTS of untouched area by  nothing but net! 8

Not  asked yet, but it’s possible  the results  are part of the 4  week  geology study eval now being done by  the  JV candidate.  If  so it’s probably   theirs  to  withhold  release  pending decision to proceed.  The  core have been on hand  some time and the handling, logging,  submission is  rigorous  and assay cost  expensive.  Having  them take  that on   would  be  an advantage.  Results’d be  ours but  release  time  may depend on  the  agreement.  I’m sure there’s  something involved with a  range of  price and  share  but while our  advantage is to see it   a very  high PPS, low  % with  excellent assay, keeping it  low  enough to reach agreement  is  to theirs.  Art of  the  deal says get it  done maxed  for  both but possible. A successful Prisoner’s  Dilemma  outcome by pre-agreed  cooperation. Get  a  chance  I’ll ask  if  he’ll say.  Probably  ask it  so I know  the  answer  as  per 85% of  the  time.    8

Mark twain

2 fathoms, 12  feet. Mark three= 18′. How’s  for Mark 7 to 13 , 50 to 80′  with a  clam? And  deeper water/ocean capable?  Still, compared to the  Nome  junk yard placers? High Cotton!  Meantime  back at  the  ranch? One  down  3  weeks  to go.

I’d  expect all  know all I know long  since. Really, any  not  full convinced all is well  permits in hand with  dotted  I’s crossed  T’s  should  long  since be elsewhere.  The  interim is  always  a  bit alarming but  had  he the  wherewithal he’d   long  since been  mining  alone.  Assume  it  actually IS Fresnillo?  wont  you imagine  a  bunch hounding B family  for  years hasn’t  checked  the  Rancho ownership back to Montezuma’s  halls?  Simper Fi and  press on .  OUR Marine  division’s  in  Nome! No hand  holding need with  two hands  busy clapping. 8

That lousy CEO Jason!

I’d not  seen this. I agreed  back in  2001  for  .25 and  520K shares. But  then  I was  poor and  $130K was  gigantic! Only  took 7  years to hit $5.  Mexus   going on  4 now in  the  DOWN cycle last  3.  8

…appreciated your take on the sta. elena paperwork and glad to know you think it’s all in order and legit. i and most of us have no way to fully verify one way or another…and i only asked because it’s potentially a major part of any deal. things with mexus ( and perhaps all micro miners) have a tendency to not always appear to be what they seem, and though i know pt has had legal counsel from r. williams and perhaps others re all this, it’s a something of a concern. why? if potential partner can find holes, they’ll likely exploit them. call me a cynic, but this is business….a often a rather cut-throat one at that.

if things are as you say re this, then pt/mexus fully controls the property, partner or no…and all that means…

guess we’ll be finding that out — and other interesting things — pretty soon now….

btw: my spanish is pretty decent. learned young (kindergarten) down in durango….and went from there….have some partners in another venture in mexico, sometimes speak in sp. with them….

Title referred to OUR having a  very merry.  No expert  Spanish linguist  but  I think is   really  just   a form of  good  night. More common here is Navidad, birth, meanng  either. Should  use  O Holy Night.  Just   wanted  the correct form of good ( masc  sing). That holiest  Mass is typical Mexican  on  the  eve  at local Cordi Marian  Convent. Mexican Sisters now  enclosed in our  giant  Alamo Ranch  development but  here 85 years. I’m Baptist she’s  Catholic, Tom comfirmed  there  but  neither.
Well aware Natividad , nativity , holy  family  birthplace , as  step dad  worked  at  the  Kaiser giant open pit  E of  Salinas at Natividad  tall mount  of  dolomite  used  for  cement became  short mount. Dusty  as HELL. Worked the  electro precipitators  bottom of kiln tall chimneys as  Maintenance  Electrician.  Mom was  LVN at  Natividad  Med  Center   Monterey  County  where  Jack became  a  silicosis  patient in  ’55  opened  up and  sewn back up to die.  Lived until 1972 sheer  guts. Went  back to Union crews  doing  101  Signage  as  the  4  lane  were built  S of  Salinas.   He’d  been a  hard rock miner in  CO and  Nevada  last  at  SilverPeak in  ’40 where  younger  step sis bore in  Dec ’40 Tonopah.
Took a  home  school course to be  electrician/teletrician  RADIO WITH PICTURES!!!and  worked in  SFO shipyards on  radars. Did  his  lungs  no good  with asbestos  AND radar  exposure, neither  then a  hazzard.   Learned  to rebuild  TV tubes  in a  vacuum oven in  Chicago ( expensive  then  B&W cathode  ray and 3 Color  few  $100)lr,   and became   owner  of  CENCO ( Central Coast  Electronics  Co) and was a pretty  happy  guy  working at own speed with other  disabled  guys. Most methodical man I ever  met.   Was  his  summer job at  Nevada Sheelite Mine  during ’48  divorces  got  me into mining lore and interests.  Magnificant desolation  before the moon steps. Unusual thing is  niece Naomi was  interned  6 mo there from Occupational Therapy  grad  at  Denton Tx. Born  ’70 in  Salinas  My life kinda  circles as her  mom buried there with her  mom and  dad in  2010.   Also LVN in  Ft Worth picked  up Hep  C from a  patient and  finally had no liver function about  15 year  on.  Fully  aware was  then a  death sentence w /o transplant  and  said  a  high risk so none  available.  We  offered  her  $100K and  she  had  to cry and  say we  can’t.  Marker says “A flower  blooms in  Pastures of Heaven”.  Steinbeck title .

The claims  are fully  permitted  to operate on  our own. Damn hard  to get  as we know. Why would possibly   sharing  ownership with largest  silver producer in  world  change that ?
“Mexico-based precious metals company Fresnillo (LSE:FRES) is the largest primary silver producer in the world, according to its website.”
Also the  ownership  is  by   Mexus Mexico  just  99.9% owned  by    sloppy  USA. That was not  even allowed  after  the  Revolution until NAFTA.  Issued in Mexico City by  the  Federal Agency after  thorough examination and  reexaminations.  My firm belief  is  they were found valid.  8

don…
“noche buena” actually means “christmas eve” in spanish…no matter…agree with the general sentiments of that post.

1 serious question for today: aside from examining whether or not sta. elena actually contains the gold and silver we are all hoping for, i imagine potential partner will also be thoroughly checking into all the legal/administrative documentation of mexus’ claims on the property and mineral rights. are you absolutely convinced we’ll pass muster re that? obviously both issues are key to partner’s willingness/interest to proceed toward closing a deal….and i only ask because there has been some administrative sloppiness in the past at the home office. now don’t get incensed by that…i know resources are tight for all things including admin and corporate governance. but the paperwork will be key….so….asking for your take re this…

A Merry Christmas?

Noche  BuenA ( masculine  singular)means  either that  or  a  good beer same name. Popular  song goes by  that name  in  Spanish.

“In early October 2014 we announced the completion of our acquisition of Newmont Mining’s 44% interest in the Penmont Joint Venture, which has seen us consolidate control of a quality portfolio of assets which will significantly enhance  our gold production and be central to our strategy of delivering sustainable growth. As a result, we increased our 2018 gold production target from 500,000 ounces to 750,000 ounces. Our 2018 silver production target of 65 million ounces  remains in place.”

Might  we  possibly figure into an even larger  2018 target? 8

Don’t tell Lout!

It’ s now  looking  like  a  5th one  will go.  USGL, GSPG, GORO, MXSG all some point  largest  holder.  I’ve a  LONG time  horizon. Tiny Sports Pouch Beverage  Pack  SPBV just  went  green    my  .015 PPS at  .0155.  Made  $20k TODAY on  Zoot’s and  Lout’s  laugher.  Round n round  she  goes. . Never  count  sitting  at  the table, Lout, and need not  get up often cept  ta  pee.

As always  I began at  .03 and  bought down  well below  .02  to avg  .015  and  simply  wait.  Not really missing  the  Fish People. As  The Great Woody,  was  among  1st into GSPG March ’03.  Left  laughing at  we  suckers when I sold  at  $1 , re-entered   at .40  Aug production 2004  and I made   about  $250K buying  down to .0004 for  11 million shares went  to .06 early  2008.  SPBV,   never over .03 as  always was based on  facts  few  aware. Tom was  seeking a  plant  site  for production if  agreement with Giant TX HEB markets  entered  Mexico too.  HEB did  and   beverage  mgr  was Dorly’s  5  time move  up client  Tom  Inherited.  Deal fell through and  sank to bottom but  the  recloseable pouch is  a  fine idea. Seems   the  actual patent  was granted so not  just pending applied for  and  the  corp wants to reorganize. Suddenly  a  darling of the  OTC non reporting  pinks.  We’ll see but like GSPG going  from  really zero to  .0155  is  a giant  step fwd and  such as  I’m into.  Not a  gold mine  but  could be  golden .  If not ? Was  fun and  I could  afford  the  $30K risk  now  $42K.  8

Tax Enough, Already

On 15th I finally  got  current  in  Federal Taxes. Since  the  flood  disaster  in old  home  Jan 9,  2009  all I’ve  done  was  file estimated  tax  each Apr  15th  and  let  it  ride.  I know  what  I was paid, $29K and  rest  was total loss since   insurance  decided it  was uninsured  mold they deny  coverage.  Wouldn’t  see my  claim it  was  a pool of  water  from burst 1/4″ pipe fitting did  the  damage  which certainly  IS covered.  Mold  came week or  so later  until she opened  the  front  door going  for  clothes items.  Never  touched them again and  anything  else   or covered in  itch. I’d  bring  valuable  stuff  to sort  through and until I got  it put of  the upstairs  game  room she’d not  play Video Poker  there  even.

OK, I’d  a  good  30 year old  house in  town on a  full acre  worth  about $180K   $25k of  that land. Entire  insurance was spent  cleaning  and  tearing all down  to  studs  and  roof.  How  to estimate my  cost  to rebuild  until it’s  done? But  first  it  took until late  2011  to even get  permission  due  to county codes built   now  city and  even were  changed  after we’d  started.  Go pay more submit  changes  for code await  decision and  do it  all over  and over.  Bragged on  ONE STOP  building  permits  is  a  solid  red  light.

At  the point  where  wont be long until everything   is to   where  door  can be  locked  with a  living  space and  ability to do outside  decking and  stairs from added  2nd  level office/loft. Bumps value  to about  $225k BUT  all   replacement cost and  “might  as well while at it. ”  Seems another $190K cost  to get  back to livable.   When I started  filing  last year I simply took what I paid  the year  as  an uncompensated  disaster  loss discovered  Jan 9,2009 but  not  costed out til we  found  what  it  took to replace it.  IRS has  a long  explanatory letter and  so far  they accepted  that.  Now  I’m tossing large plastic storage  boxes  of  records  up to late  2011.  I explained to folks  every  year I take the boxes out of the office/ 4th bedroom stack all in the living /Family room, look  at  them and put  them right back. Pretty  soon I’ll see  the floor  and  walls  again! Gonna  have  a  TEA Party! 8
