Opening soloist band score was pal Rocky Loomis Clarinet . Retired as Soloist with Coast Guard Wind Symphony . We both took bows with Ferde, more hansome much less famous. Big deal then was Mine Train thru Rainbow Caverns ended in a big splash down. Little did I know of mines! We took 2 DC-3s to Burbank AP and as we loaded coming back the pilot slammed cockpit door, locked self out and had to climb through his side window. OOPS!
