She began week before last getting pedicure, I drove and came back. Last week drove self to 30n min away hair dresser and Sat 3 hr to Lackland for commissary 2 month stuff empty stock up and cosmetics lady from BX came out to assist her from car. They MISS her! This week she’s back on own med clinics schedule no assist. Dorly’s back a lot and made dinner after 2 months out but was kinda in the way with red 4 wheel go cart thingee. But Sun. brought eggs and bacon in bed while t I did the big paper thing. Call that all like getting son potty trained about 6 month time ,home free life time ….. HA! Relief tho about the same. 2 back in harness not one ploughs heap more land!
I’m still down with cervical arm radiation nerve pain numbness right side will not abate. Feel good enough to do what’s needed for her …WHAMO 1 AM! Climb in w’pool hot as possible and inhale hydrodcodein to further numb shoulder for sleeping on. 4 weeks now since July 3 onset. Needing nerve block injection but 1st apt was 3rd Aug. Means She can now drive me to MY treatment can’t drive.
OK, it’s why you got married to start with 44 years back. If anything hits is sickness and in health! I advise it wholeheartedly as, “I do” . both reply and 1st time we struck out same inning no relief pitch at hand. I confess to being a confused teen, a troubled adult and a sonofabitchin oldster but did do ONE thing right in my 30’s. I convinced the most unusual lady ever met to quit fighting it, follow my lead ; go home and meet the folks. Not looked back!
Aside: been doing everything possible while I await Dr Hirsch D.O does past miracles she and me apt Aug 3rd. . Had deep muscle massage for hour last Mon her Massage Envy gift each 6 months. Nice but no cigar. Been doing Lidoderm patch to shoulder area …. eh???….. when not too much pain some relief . Horse liniment does some good but she drug out a small jar of Tiger Balm salve our cousin goes to Bangcock sent me on Sat and WHAMO! Damn stuff is amazing but tapers off effect fast . Ordered 4 large salves Walgren’s On line w/o the red shit stains the bed and clothes. If came by the bath tub bucket ? Be the thing!
Tue 28th: She’s had 1st Cancer Care apt who monitor her total clinic care one spot and today Well Med blood work then Rheum Arth. clinic visit . Overall good going since surgery but wound up a rough night from the activity. I switched and took hot soak before supper and got some decent rest 2 AM to 8 AM 1st in a month able to find a small comfort zone for rt arm . Simple life boils down to a good night sleep and a firm BM. Sigh! Sweet Bird of Youth has flown to the high branches . Or is that the Cheshire Cat grinning down? 8
