Is pretty simple to know about the only one here as aware of the future direction? When you wish upon a candle? Really tough to get a handle. Try, “Your’re lookin at him!” Chuck’s 2nd book lists his young B-57 troops right up there. I was then teaching old desk pilots how to effectively dive bomb day or night. No back seat to a soul! STILL. 8

NEVER FORGET! 1966-1967 Chuck delivered my San Miguel beer. Chilled cases  to draw  Combat  pay and tax  exclusion that  month  and a few broke on delivery 800 mi at 30K! DI Phillips, Capt USAF Snack Bar Officer and everybody had a share!

Was chocolate covered cotton! Intro’d all to Bombardier Yossarian’s funny funny war tale! Had just come out stateside so perhaps greatest war practical joke ever! Became DFW Realtor and he and Dorly always had a blast at reunions. She’a lot used to craziness. Crazy Don 8

Deal was while his 405th Tac Ftr Wg was training new crews at Clark AB ( 18 or 24 mo tours single or wife along ) we had to fly into war zone once a month to draw $500 combat pay and tax deduction. One missed flight back I got stuck in the war and unable to leave but an enormous effort by USAF and Mich Air Natl Guard Brig Gen touring the Pacific at Cam Ran Bay . Grew funnier and funnier just not at that instant!

WAY off any XSG topic but rather cool. Chat 2 long time owners.

“Image from a week ago in Tucson . The two gents in front were both P-51 pilots in WW II – Europe. Tiger Lyons left and Fred Roberts right. Present day A-10 pilots with the 355th behind them.

Long heritage to the 355th and the Air Force has kept the designation even through several deactivations. WW Ii – Korea – Vietnam era based at Takhli with Thuds and EB-66s and now Davis-Monthan flying A-10s with multiple deployment to Agfhanistan and Iraq. ”

Always enjoy Davis-Monthan dusty museum. Assume they washed some oldies well as still flyers. Tom and I quit using Tucson for SWA schedule ease PHX. 1st arr there was ferry last B-52B in from March AFB converting 90 days to deactivated Larson AFB Wa D ‘s about Mar ’66 before off to Clark AB PI. We were standing alert NY eve ’65 and Jt Chiefs said shut down day early and have a nice holiday. Imagine some Nuc Sub took it on. Bunch went got mess dressed and hit LA clubs all way to Pussy Cat a GO GO. Didn’t need be 15 min away from destroying the world so did LA instead. LONG Hr drive dawn back E to Riverside!!! My last crewed B-57 Canberra pilot a desk bound Charley Kay Lt Col flew P-40s in S Africa believe or not in ’42, ’67 25 yr later pulled out the wood work. Have a recorded “Yellow bird 49” used in My EdD Tx Tech sociology class to take them all along. Boring as all hell until we hit the N Viet DMZ and everything from big 100MM guns to SAM alert next hour dive bombing pitch black. Back home again HO Hum! and fuel stop in Marine Cu Chi AB S of DaNang and where we used trade goods K-Bar combat knife to get 5 gal good added veggie fat filled milk nobody else had then. Almost like home HA! Just got used W of any Hawaii dairy no more milk entire S Pacific so grab some pts at Hickam way across. Silly things one recalls busy risking life! Don

Really need ta wonder when trader rats will EVER learn to not grub small $ and brag. Mexus is back to idea of really small numbers. Takes enormous down pressure to turn a small number into a really really small number like .03 to .0016. Then an equally big up pressure needed to just small .025. After that just a tad either way swings 50% with relative ease. .0125-.25. Money goes full moon leap to suckin ebb tides .. shares constant. Buyin tiny rabbits cheap? Let em grow and build bigger cages fast. 8

Thas damn righteous I says! Didn’t write it BTW. I was a Jr in Hi school ’54 and I did not even know of them in Viet Nam ’66.
Cool none the less. “I know them Rthitis brothers and Arthur? He de worst!!”
