mensch on a bench
A valuable lesson of today is all ‘s not what it seems… ALWAYS! Misinformation and gloating posts are SO SO obvious . Tell me PT’s NOT wrong they know damn well where to attack and seem pure as a 10’ snow bank. Now why? It’s a sub 2 cent stock ! So who’s lost millions IF I had sold? Just me! Not hate only detest
“ I’m still scratching noggin over events transpiring since begin of year. Fully understand risk verses patience, but good golly. Thought I’d be okay with average under .04 now, and lo and behold she keeps slipping down. If the folks that were at Rancho last week want to deal he mentioned he would sign docs this week. Who knows. If he’s still in Walnut today then prolly nothing. Said he’s still chatting with 3 different suitors? Also said legal (Jeff?) says he has a good case on 4mil owed, but will probably take time. Container is being shipped to Alaska. He got some cash last week from the wash plant – some good news. I’m stirred not shaken though. My kingdom for a JV sign-on. ” wxdog
AKA Teapot Tempests .. Old Prof speaks english composition. I can’t recall much Hatred expressed which is hate, a noun object. I do express a verb, detest, the way some crawl out of the wall at unusual times when perhaps support is really due. They actually brag about how little they got which is in honesty how much they lost and seemingly my fault with the most involved of all private investors. Even that seems pleasing them at oddest times. Guess making me the slickest pickpocket all time never coming nearer them than they to the gold resource strongly and falsely felt will never ever exist .
“just so you know, the moderator on IHUB deleting posts is not Tmlonggun, it is Lode Making Me Rich. He should never be a moderator, on the Mexus board or elsewhere. He did the same thing on the Lode board, deleting posts at will.
Longgun is on your side, he has been a backer of you since the beginning. I think his questions were meant to support you, showing new investors your wide knowledge and success.
I think he knew the answers to your questions before he asked them, he was just trying to put all your background in one spot for investors to see, kind of like the type of article you’d see on one of the gold sites.
Belgie”
I have formally requested that “LODE MAKING ME RICH” be removed as a moderator. The guy has censored me many times in the past for talking about mining companies on mining boards and I almost quit at least twice because of him and ihub’s ridiculous policy wherein discussing or mentioning censorship is grounds for censorship. I tried to restore the posts but ihub does not allow me to for some reason.
“Removed as “Off Topic” while moderator has simply reposted my 5 ( NO 7 year’s ) information as own with no cites . Seems opportunistic, plagiaristic, selfimportantistic and no beg pardon one. Was it you Belgie posted “pound rocks? I’ve all the awareness next to none possess and those that do know it full well. Don’t hold an asp too close, ask Cleo. 8”
I think this is directed at me but I don’t really understand what you are getting at. I’ve always given you full credit and I have always been respectful and polite. I just wanted to help promote Mexus and simplify the complex process and narrative for junior resource investing. It is clear where the information sources come from – you, PT, the historical record, and other junior resource investors.
I think we got some friendly fire here.”
OK, just not a first time and I can’t be bothered tracking down who’s the bothersome indiv. I’ll just not post with too many chiefs. Needed a reason to pay another blog year and got one. TOS seem bent
You tell me….
Spoke with Longun we’re OK but I’ve no need for the hassle. Msg Bd tight TOS better than none I guess, just not not much. TJ dines alone another year. 8
o need for acrimony but enough’s enough. Messaging’s a total waste of time with ” Good day, bought some, bad day, somebody sold “. Otherwise bright people miss fact that until you know why you are doing what you do it would be better spent in own research. Comes to that, known Mexus is me from the start and will remain until announced transparency arrives. Some few in addition but the last time they spoke to you was exactly when? It aint paranoia when some are out to get you for years and years and chase from one silly posting site to the next . Both RB and ihub MXSG I’ve removed as rather irrelevant to actuality. Will probably show events up here first as ever if it simply continues as in past .

Board: Mexus Gold US | Reason: Off-Topic |
For explosive use in Mexico you need both trained approved workers and a Military licensed 24/7 guarded facility. Same hired for one can provide the other by transport. Mexus is NOT planning to use own miners but will get local facility for common uses on entire Rancho. No delay now involved if signed as he says this week. It’s kinda odd as who calls PT or Paul “MR Thompson”! He’ll tell you that was my dad! Only shady soul at UVSS was final acts of desperate CEO and I for one learned a lot from the exercise which proved the process. Those hurt were UVSS shareholds and I never had a one. I’m well aware not a single blabbering soul has set foot on San Felix with any inkling of value there. Facts will arise and we will see some point. Loader tires are not “Balled” they are rocked!(cut to shreds repaired as much as possible). Takes either 800,000 one cent shares or a day’s placer to buy one. Pay him and collect a 1 year R cert and he’ll eat that up tomorrow. Meantime same silly louts offer zilch, chatter on and seeming I’m talking to my self while they do seem to listen. Recalls JFK’s comment at White House Nobel winners dinner meeting 1962. Wiser group “Only when Jefferson dined alone!” Prattle on, we’re amused. 8 http://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/ws/?pid=8623 |
OK, see this . Does it ALL seem to be off topic? Fire the moderator not the expert always my goal. I’m to waste MY time educating this person? BTW I think he sent similar request to Paul and I think he ignored it as pretty dumb . Q & A, fire hose 3rd degree with threats to prosecute if published.” You lie!” See Silver Pursuit Apr 8 meeting reply. Butch said, sun dancing in smiling Irish eyes , “Who are these guys’ and jumped .
Hey Don I know your hearing isn’t stellar so I wrote some questions for you if you have some free time. I am not sure where the best place to ultimately post them would be but we can figure that out afterwards. I already know some of the answers to these questions so I tried to structure the question flow in a way where we end up with something resembling a Q&A where readers might learn a couple things. I think if we combine all of this together we might make a very strong case for Mexus.
Thanks in advance for the opportunity to pick your brain.
Who is Don Phillips? Don Phillips is a successful junior mining investor that has been the largest private shareholder in several exceptionally successful junior mining ventures.
Could you briefly talk about your early life and your military service? What is the early Don Phillips story in a nutshell?
Obviously those experiences played a pivotal role in your development and the kind of person you became. Was there anything about this period that you think helped you become a more successful investor? Perhaps the discipline from your service or some experience of your youth helped you understand the value of saving and investing.
Given your life’s path it seems like money was not the principal goal and motivation for most of your life. Yet someone who never pursues wealth will probably never attain it so when did you seriously start to invest and accumulate wealth and what were the first sorts of investments you made? Real estate and oil?
What did you learn from those first few investments?
And all of this roughly coincided with a bottom in the gold price in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Did you recognize this as an opportunity?
Do you own some physical precious metals? What is your opinion about bullion? Insurance or shiny paperweight?
Let’s get into the topic of junior mining and talk about one of your triumphs, US Gold. US Gold is now part of McEwen Mining but was a stand alone company for many years that ultimately made an interesting silver-gold discovery and had many big moves in the stock price. Why were you attracted to US Gold? What was it specifically that drew you to the property itself?
Did you physically visit the property early on?
How important in your mind is “boots on the ground” due diligence?
What about Robert McEwen? He joined US Gold after you were already positioned, right? How did you manage to get in ahead of such a savvy investor?
US Gold then went on quite a run. It had a few good moves up and down during its history. At one point it was a ten cent to ten dollar stock, correct?
What did that ride feel like?
Were you able to maintain your discipline and a sell at a good time or did the excitement and exuberance of the ascension cut into your profits?
A remember reading an article about you, “Becoming a Millionaire with US Gold.” What gave you the guts and confidence to keep acquiring shares of something that for so long seemingly nobody else wanted? At its core was it a value investor’s belief that it was simply undervalued and meant to be accumulated?
Let’s talk about another very unique company you were investing in practically from the beginning. How does the GORO (Gold Resources) story begin?
GORO went from around a dollar to over thirty dollars a share. These are the kind of returns that get investors really excited.
When a stock goes up more than a thousand percent even small daily percentages can lead to large swings in portfolio value. In the past I’ve foolishly ridden stocks that were up a thousand percent down until I had a loss. It is no good buying low if you never sell high and reap a profit. What are some of the signals in a junior miner that helps you know when you should be dishoarding?
How quickly in these massive runs do you tend to recoup your initial investment? It seems like a constant battle of fear and greed, and one that often gets the better of most of us.
Let’s talk about your current favorite, Mexus Gold US. (For the record both Don and I own a large amount of Mexus shares.)
When did you first meet Paul Thompson and what was your impression of him?
Mexus started off pursuing a cable salvage project that has recently been somewhat resurrected with the rights transferred and a royalty retained. Yet at the time Mexus pursued this course it did not succeed. What happened?
Mexus has one of the most impressive gold properties I know of. How did they get it? What is the story behind it and what role did you play in the company’s earlier days?
How big was the gold nugget you found near the road?
Mexus also had another promising mine, the San Felix, that they sold earlier in March of this year for five million dollars and some shares in the acquiring company. This is almost the entire company’s current market cap in cash, which implies their properties and potential is worth almost zero. I noticed that at recent bottoms there was often similar nonsensical resource valuations, situations were proven reserves of economic minerals are valued at zero, Then a few years later those same reserves will trade at insane premiums that also make no sense. Why do you think these companies trade to such extremes?
Going back to what we discussed before, on a relative basis, if all of the other neighboring mines surrounding Mexus are producing profitably at a fraction of a gram and Mexus has ore closer to the surface and much higher grades well above a gram. It would not be a stretch to say profitable production is not only achievable but is in fact its likely with Mexus. Any comments?
Relative to your previous successful picks, how does Mexus Gold compare to them in your opinion?
You’re not a geologist. People must have said you were crazy buying mining stocks, especially the junior miners without specialized knowledge and during scary bear markets. Do you think people without geological backgrounds can adequately evaluate mineral projects and their potential? Geologists and newsletter writers often say it is impossible yet clearly you were capable of such a thing. Is it something that can be learned? Or is it merely a matter of mentally determining if something is obviously economic and then using common sense and a comparative basis to judge the projects?. If you had two nearly identical mines side by side and one was a one oz/t project and the other was a one g/t project it is obvious which should be more profitable and if you know that the guy at one gram makes money the guy at one ounce should make a lot. Is this line of thinking correct in your view?
It seems undeniable that luck plays a crucial factor in exploration due to the low chance of making a discovery yet there are several people that have track records that seem to make a mockery of the one in three to ten thousand chance to make a discovery bandied about by analysts. Do you think luck is be a big factor in the success of the mining stocks that you have personally picked? It seems very unlikely that you would be able to pick four or five lottery tickets in a row. Clearly there is something else going on here. What are some of the traits of a company or a property that investors can identify to make their portfolios less dependent on luck and more dependent on common sense?
Do you think that conditions today are similar to when you started accumulating positions in US Gold, Comstock Mining, and Gold Resources?
Mr Phillips, do you have anything you would like to add?
Thank you very much for your time!
Any sense to “Seeing is believing”?
“Thanks to Belgie24, wxdog. Rapier40 and in the main Miz Ellie . When you read my exact same postings over years then my uodated comments on them deleted? The game’s rigged and unknown negativers are handed undeserved cred. Something wrong with that picture. Becomes cost of all, value of nothing thus worthless babble. Not worth the bother. Refer Matt: 7:15-17
“Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16“You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they? 17“So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit.” 8
“What Makes a Poster Believable?
Obviously, it can be difficult to confirm credentials and legitimacy on the internet. However, one of the benefits of the internet is the ability to put on your detective’s hat and do a little snooping. Credible posters often make their identities known, and provide links to their personal websites, business websites or personal resumes. Also, legitimate posters will often focus on facts or provide unbiased sources to back up their comments or information. (Turn frustrating hours into profit-turning minutes by managing your investing time properly
Negative Impact
It’s also vital to understand that there are frequently naysayers on message boards – individuals who will take an opposing position to other posters, and may become quite hostile in trying to sway others’ opinions.”

Spent mkt end day semi-annual lab work. Some you idjits can’t buy 1K at ask? RB’s joined Ihub and online IQ drops to moron level once again. Choice to drop this blog gone disappearo. Expect some more will want to sign on. Be our guest. 8
To
meApr 9 at 9:36 PMPaul has really worked himself into a corner with this San Felix nonsense. You can only fool with your support base so many times, and then you lose all confidence. Hopefully all the bad news is out, and we can get through this period.
I bought today at .0135 and .012, think I might have to buy at .01 tomorrow.
Told not to post anything
Damned if do or don’t. Send e-mail and I’ll respond . DO NOT LIKE anything much of late.
Here’s one now
“If you can share, I would appreciate it. I have over 1.2mm shares of this. I am left speechless that a deal was made with a director of a company which has never heard of Mexus. Has PT ever explained how this connection came about and did he vet this guy at all??? There seems to be a very serious disconnect here that I am finding very hard to understand. Thanks once again for your efforts.”
More N enuf already
I’m catching hell for asking obvious questions as if were a total unkown occurrance. Actually I was asking by e-mail to forestall in writing what another investor was making phone calls about with total run around It told them NOTHING new and speed to reply made that quite obvious. I’m of supreme confidence it WILL be a subject at the 05/08 Vancouver annual. I represent none but we small and large holders . I am assured placer report will be as announced, good. Today at 3:40 PM
“So are we screwed or is this internal for now? Does he have a leg to stand on . I got firm feeling he does not want San Felix back. Do you doubt now that we had a sale and contract?”
